Sub Theme: Why green space matters, The importance of an ecological concious Abstract In recent years, deforestation has emerged as a critical environmental concern. Defined as the large scale removal of forest cover, deforestation leads to habitat destruction and severe loss of biodiversity. Many trees have been cut down. Recently, there was an alarming incident, where there was an attempt to burn 400 acres of forest land in Telangana, fortunately halted by the Supreme Court.
